‘Taiwan Pitch Nonfiction Short Film Fund 2022’ has announced the list of trainers for the online Talent Village! The online courses include Story Development, Field Research, Treatment & Synopsis Writing, Budgeting, Cinematography, and Sounds. The finalists will be participating in the online workshop in July. Later in August, they are invited to join the in-person Talent Village held in Taiwan, while stepping further into their filmmaking journey.
Taiwan Pitch invites industry professionals worldwide as the trainers for the online courses, including:
● Paula Vaccaro, Founder of PINBALL LONDON, award-winning producer, scriptwriter, and journalist with almost thirty years of experience.
● Yael Bitton, Editor of Emmy-awards-winning documentary INVISIBLE DEMONS, and a tutor at the HEAD in Geneva.
● Stefano Centini, Founder of Volos Films and an experienced director and producer.
● Wouter Jansen, Owner of the sales and festival distribution company Square Eyes and a lecturer at festivals like IDFA.
● Brian Newman, Founder of Sub-Genre and the former CEO of Tribeca Film Institute.
● Jonathan Schütz, Founder of Curly Lizard Films and an experienced international documentary filmmaker.
● Marc Silver, multi award winning filmmaker such as Sundance Festival and Amnesty.
● Vanesa Tate, Audio Director, Music Composer, and Sound Designer. She was chosen by The Guardian to feature in their ‘Women in Leadership’ section.
● Rachel Wexler, Emmy-award-winning producer with over 30 years of experience in film and TV industry.
Taiwan Pitch is also honored to have their invitation accepted by two-time Academy Awards and four-time Emmy Awards winner, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, to deliver a masterclass for Talent Village. With the guidance of industry professionals, these courses are planned with hopes of helping the students from various countries prepare for their filmmaking journey ahead, as well as adapting new insights gained from each exchange to their projects.
