‘Taiwan Pitch Nonfiction Short Film Fund 2022’ has announced the list of mentors for the Talent Village! In order to give each finalist project the best support, Taiwan Pitch has invited industry experts to guide selected students in their filmmaking. Mentors will provide professional advice at each stage and accompany students throughout their processes, guiding them until completion. The final cuts will be released on streaming platform TaiwanPlus for the global audience to explore the diverse and beautiful stories of Taiwan.

Talent Village Workshop Mentors Lineup:

Stefano CENTINI – Director/Producer/Founder of VOLOS FILMS

Stefano CENTINI currently lives in Taiwan and works on a wide range of TV shows, feature films, feature documentaries, and VR. His recent productions include A Holy Family (2022), which received the NT$1 million Grand Prize, Best Documentary, and Best Editing at the 2022 Taipei Film Awards, and Far Away Eyes (2021), which was screened at the 2021 Golden Horse Film Festival and shortlisted for the Visions Du Réel Burning Lights Competition. 

Sunny HAN – Producer/Founder of LOCAL TIGER INTERNATIONAL

Since 2005, Sunny HAN has produced more than 30 documentaries, corporate videos, and short films for international broadcasters including BBC, National Geographic Channel (for nearly 15 years), Discovery Channel, History Channel, Televisión Española, Canal Sur and Da Ai TV, as well as well-known domestic cooperates. Her specialty is international co-production.

Chris HUMPHREY – Head of Production & Development at A+E NETWORKS ASIA

Chris HUMPHREY is a British producer living in Singapore. He oversees the creation of regional broadcast content for A+E Networks’ wholly owned operation across Asia Pacific. Since 2008, Chris has executive produced more than 400 hours of original regional content for HistoryTM, LifetimeTM, FYITM, and Crime + InvestigationTM.

Augusto MATTE – Director/Producer

Augusto MATTE is an independent film producer from Chile. His productions have premiered at Cannes Critics Week, the Official Competition at the Venice Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and Berlinale. He consults for international film projects and produces films that explore and broaden the definitions of cinematic language.

Stephanie WANG-BREAL – Writer/Director/Founder of ONCE IN A BLUE FILMS

Stephanie WANG-BREAL’s films include Wo Ai Ni Mommy (2010), Tough Love (2014), and Blowin’ Up (2018). Wo Ai Ni Mommy was awarded the SilverDocs Grand Jury Prize, the SIAAFF Best Documentary Award, as well as an Emmy nomination. She is the co-founder of Once in a Blue Films, a female-run production company.
